Little Lemon Productions Guest Director Program
Little Lemon Productions is so excited to offer our Guest Director Program! This program aims to offer early career and first time directors the opportunity to stage their work. Little Lemon Productions provides space, rights, financial support, marketing, and guidance to make a director's experience as smooth as possible so they may focus on gaining experience and skills on the stage and with their cast.
Application Process:
Directors are welcome to apply during the application window with a script, concept, and goals for their experience.
Applications are sorted first by script, we look into: is the script available, is it within Little Lemon's budget for the season, is the cast size suitible for the season, does the script encourage diversity and inclusivity, is it appropriate for our community, etc.
If a script is viable we then move on to looking into the director's personal statement, vision, goals, and experience to see if the program is a good fit for the applicant at this time.
If accepted:
Directors will receive an email letting them know their project has been accepted into the season! This email will include the production contract, a list of responsibilities, who they will report to in the production, final dates, and a drafted rehearsal calendar.
Program Code of Conduct:
At all times Directors are expected to fufill all outlined duties and responsibilites as disscussed and agreed upon at the start of every project.

*we understand equity and inclusivity is not a monolithic experience and therefore, the articles above to not serve as a singular blue print for inclusivity. However, we hope directors take away the general understanding, attitude, and thought process they will need to adopt.*
